Lily's Florist, Send Flowers

Lily's Florist Blog, get tips on what flowers to buy

Send Flowers

The quickest way to a woman’s heart, unlike a man through his stomach, is to send her some flowers.

Flowers come in many shapes, colours, sizes, widths and can cost anything from $20 from your local supermarket, up to $1000’s for a gorgeous wedding. With flowers you definitely get what you pay for. Inexpensive flowers tend not to last as long, whereas more expensive flowers last longer and are generally put together by professional florists with years of experience and training. That being said, it is not really the price of the flowers that is important it is the act of unconditional giving.

Ordering flowers has changed dramatically in the last five years of so. Once upon a time a husband would stop off at his local florist for a bunch of flowers on his way home from work. However, this is becoming increasing difficult due to time constraints within our fast paces lifestyles. These days it is far more convenient to order flowers online whether it be from your local florist, if they have a website, or from one of the many florists that have gone online in the last few years.

Sending flowers can be a random act of kindness, or can be an occasion based purchase. By far the most popular occasion in Australia for sending flowers is Mother’s Day, followed by Valentine’s Day. Other occasions include weddings, funerals, birthdays, anniversaries, corporate events, Christmas, or Lily’s Florist’s favourite – just because.
